How are your ceramics made?
Our ceramics are created by shaping clay by hand or on the pottery wheel. Once formed, each piece is dried slowly, refined, and prepared for firing.
What is glaze and how do you add color to your pottery?
Glaze is a special coating applied to ceramics to add color, texture, and a protective finish. We create and mix our glazes by hand in our home pottery studio, then carefully apply them to each piece. The final look develops beautifully during firing in the kiln.
What is firing?
Firing is the process of heating pottery in a kiln at high temperatures. This hardens the clay and melts the glaze, making the piece strong and ready for everyday use.
Why do some pieces look slightly different from the photos?
Because each piece is handmade and kiln-fired, small differences in color, glaze flow, texture, or shape can happen. These natural variations are part of the handmade charm.
