Vanvaas Mug

Inspired by quiet nights in the mountains, this handmade mug brings together the warmth of the outdoors and the texture of nature. The exterior is carefully carved to resemble the bark of a tree trunk, giving the surface an earthy, tactile feel.
 
Using white slip, pine trees, a tent, a glowing bonfire, and grazing sheep are hand-painted onto the mug, creating a peaceful campsite scene nestled in the wilderness. The interior is finished with a clear glaze for a smooth, comfortable drinking experience.
 
Wheel-thrown and fired in an electric kiln, this mug is designed for everyday use while celebrating the slow craft of handmade pottery. Each piece is individually made, making every mug unique in its details and character.
